The Aakash Odedra Company participated at the 2016 edition of PuSh Festival in Vancouver at the end of January 2016. Aakash Odedra is an award-winning contemporary dancer trained in the Indian classical forms of kathak and bharata natyam. He uses these ancient forms of dance and incorporates them into contemporary performance styles.

For the first two evenings of the festival, Odedra opened the festival with a double-bill performance, Inked and Murmur, which explore conceptions and misconceptions of identity. Additionally, Odedra hosted a workshop on performance practices and new technologies. He created a lab environment to demonstrate the specific analog and digital technologies used in the creation of his choreographies.
