On Thursday 30 March 2017, at Parliament Hill, 15 young leaders of the Active Citizens Social Enterprise programme (ACSE) presented their social enterprise projects, which addressed at least one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) 

Fifteenth excellent pitches were made, four subject matter experts with experience in social enterprise in Canada and the UK provided feedback and delivered working sessions for the ACSE participants

The Summit showcased the youth's passion and commitment for social enterprise while convening high level representatives from public and private sectors, innovation-focused enterprises and start-ups, social enterprises of all sizes, Primer Minister´s Youth Councils members, British Youth Council members, the Commonwealth Youth Council member and UN representatives.

The ACSE participants from across Canada have returned to their communities to develop their proposed projects throughout 2017, with the support of peer or business mentors.
