MaRS Discovery District, Toronto Ontario (TBC)
30 – 31 August, 2016
In communities around the world social enterprise is being accepted as an effective and sustainable approach to address social and environmental issues.
Active Citizens Social Enterprise training will provide participants with a social enterprise lens and a foundation for developing the mind-set of social enterprise. It aims to support participants to think through an approach to social enterprise that may be appropriate for them, and to identify the support and advice they may need over time.
Participants will be introduced to the Active Citizens Social Enterprise toolkit, encouraged to apply the toolkit to their own experience, and trained to facilitate Active Citizens Social Enterprise activities in their own communities.
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be invited to join the British Council’s global Active Citizens network.
