This conference is seeking to advance the discussion on animating public spaces. The goal is to explore how the city and its public spaces can become playable, multi-experiential places, whether the aim is to provide gaming opportunities just for fun or to enhance interaction among people.

Several leaders in the field will present surprising and innovative animation ideas with roots in gaming: Playable City from Bristol, England; Moment Factory, the National Film Board of Canada, La Guilde, Daily tous les jours and Kaboom.

The conference will also explore new digital possibilities by investigating the concepts of virtual and augmented reality, architectural video projection, geocaching, sensory experiences and related topics.
