The symposium on New Work in Opera and Music Theatre is a two-day international event at the Royal Opera House in London. It will gather artistic directors from around the globe to discuss and demonstrate developments and trends in these sectors, and foster international relationships through a program of workshops and conferences.
The British Council Canada is pleased to announce that two Canadian directors have been invited to participate at the symposium this June. Michael Mori, the newly appointed artistic director at Tapestry Opera has over twenty years of experience as a performer and recording artist, and is devoted to develop and present new contemporary opera. Lawrence Cherney is the artistic director of Soundstreams in Toronto.
