How to create accessible and inclusive environments in performing arts and theatre venues?

In October 2015, Kirsty Hoyle, Director at Include Arts, facilitated a peer-to-peer training on the implementation of Relaxed Perfomances in the arts and addressed topics of accessible marketing and audience development to performing arts venues and organizations. Speakers included David Bellwood, Senior Marketing and Access Officer from Shakespeare's Globe and Roslyn Elizabeth Hayes, Head of Access, National Theatre of Great Britain, two renowned institutions located in London, UK.

Many stakeholders from the Toronto performing arts community participated in the training and are currently in conversation and strategy to implement Relaxed Performances in their ongoing mandate.
