Catherine is Artistic Director of Wales’ award-winning new writing theatre company Dirty Protest and an independent performance director from Cardiff. She is a founding Creative Associate of National Theatre Wales.
Her most recent directing credits include: Sugar Baby by Alan Harris (Paines Plough's Roundabout programme, Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017+18 and International Tour 2018) and a new version of Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice in Portuguese, for the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, Belo Horizonte (People’s Palace Projects/British Council).
Catherine has directed for companies including National Theatre Wales, Sherman Cymru, Wales Millennium Centre, The Junket Club, Unity Theatre Liverpool, Theatre 503, Oldham Coliseum, Tara Arts, Soho Theatre, and Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.
Catherine trained on the Theatre Directing MFA at Birkbeck, University of London and was resident director at Contact, Manchester and Octagon Theatre Bolton. She is a Fellow of the Clore Leadership Programme and the RSA.
