15th anniversary of the Quebec-British Council cultural cooperation 

2018-2019 Connexions QC – UK Connections Research trip

OBJECTIVES

As part of the 15th anniversary of the cultural cooperation between Quebec and the UK, the ministère de la Culture et des Communications and the British Council wish to support research trips, which will:

  • Encourage new cultural exchanges between two organisations through the mutual cultural presence of each entity in the other’s territory;
  • Further the development of relations between Quebec and British partners in order to reinforce partnerships;
  • Foster better mutual knowledge through network consolidation and the promotion of cultural expertise abroad.

PROJECT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The research trip must:

  • Target at least one British and one Quebec partner;
  • Foster the development of mid- and long-term exchanges between Quebec and the UK;
  • Enable the creation of new collaborations, develop new relations or further a creation, dissemination and product or cultural services marketing network or facilitate access to it;
  • Promote the development of skills specific to cultural fields;
  • Start on or after April 1st, 2018 and end by March 31st, 2019;
  • Be submitted as part of a proposal (duly completed form) and meet project submission deadline.

This 15th anniversary opportunity provides support for travel to Quebec, for a maximum amount of £1470. This lump sum will cover a portion of the fees associated with an research trip in Quebec for a minimum of 4 days - that is a return economy-class airline ticket, accommodation, meals and local transportation.

Please note that the regular biannual call for projects between Quebec and the British Council will be launched in the spring of 2018.
