Role overview
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
Human Resources (HR) – support the Resources Manager in all areas of HR, including but not limited to payroll reconciliations, issuing routine employee contracts, processing incoming and outgoing employees, updating HR records, ensuring all processes comply with British Council policies and procedures and all local legislations.
Finance – support the Finance Manager in all areas of Finance, ensuring financial and accounting compliance with the aim of improving performance and offshoring some financial functions to the Region. Duties include but not limited to assisting in the Accounts Payable (processing payments, raising POs, invoice receipting, etc…) and Accounts Receivable processes (raising sales order, cash journals, bank deposits, etc…). Assist in raising general journals, bank reconciliations, cash flow and procurement. Perform internal audit such as travel claims, credit card and office mobile account. Assist Finance Manager and Project Managers in managing budgets and reporting.
Administration – support the Resources Manager in other areas such as Facilities, Health and Safety and IT. Backup the Executive Assistant in running the offices (i.e. setting up meetings, agenda, programmes, travel bookings, maintaining office equipment and files, answer the phone and front desk, provide certification of document services, circulate in/out mail, daily IT backup, troubleshooting IT with our IT support services)
