We bring together partners from the cultural sectors in the UK and Canada to foster meaningful exchanges and collaborations. All of our programmes are created and delivered in partnership with UK and Canada-based organisations.
How we work
All our projects are carefully co-developed by the Arts manager in Canada, along with our Canadian and UK partners, using the British Council's unique network of global resources.
While our Canada team nurtures connections with Canadian organizations, our UK team nurtures links with UK organizations and communities. The following list corresponds to the themes and ideas of our current programmes, which is constantly evolving:

Our global work in the arts
Arts is a cornerstone of the British Council’s mission to create a friendly knowledge and understanding between the people of the UK and the wider world. We strive to find new ways of connecting with and understanding each other through the arts, in order to develop stronger creative sectors around the world that are better connected with the UK.
