Mentored by Pond-Deshpande Centre

Chris is a third year student studying Applied Social Sciences at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland where he is also originally from. He will be undertaking his internship at the Pond-Deshpande Centre at the University of New Brunswick. The Centre acts as a catalyst to advance innovation and entrepreneurship in New Brunswick and the region by facilitating collaboration among entrepreneurs, emerging and aspiring companies, students, faculty and alumni. Chris will mainly be evaluating the progress the Centre has made over recent years, as well as assisting with various events and generally promoting entrepreneurship. Having spent a semester studying abroad at the University of Malta, Chris has developed an international outlook on life and is well aware of how significant this opportunity is.

Projects Chris will be working on this summer:

  • 
Mapping the social entrepreneurial ecosystem of Atlantic Canada

  • Helping to establish a Social Innovation Lab at the Pond Deshpande Centre.
  • Discovering the various opportunities available that involve youth and social entrepreneurship in Canada, to then apply to a Scottish context.
